130708 - Star King Recording - FINALLY A VIEWABLE VARIETY SCHEDULE WITH MY BOY!

Today's location was in Suwon, about an hour's train ride away from Seoul... when we got there at 12.30pm, the DT members had not arrived yet because they were actually filming the opening game at Suwon Park... When they finally got here together on a bus, Hyeong Kon alighted wearing a black-red chinese traditional robe... one HK fan, was so shocked/smitten, she dropped her camera... haha. I called out his name, he turned and smiled for my camera a couple of times and I managed to grab some shots before I got chased away by the security... (me and a few other fans were waiting at the carpark...)

This episode's name is "Snow Race - Battle of the Strongest".... "battle" indeed... we had to struggle through knee-deep snow to get up to the ski slope of Wellihilli Park , a ski resort about 3 hours away from Seoul (the artistes and staff drove directly up through a side road we didn't know of earlier >.> ) For the first time, Hyeong Kon isn't alone, Seungyeop came with him to participate too. I have no idea why Seungyeop was chosen, he's not exactly athletic or strong, so either he left a good impression from the 130106 masse-DT and they requested for him or he volunteered because he likes the cold...?? ^^;;

This is my 2nd time at an ISAC, and coincidentally it's also the 2nd time A-JAX is involved in one. And "luckily" enough, even though it's only 1 member participating this time round, it happens to be my Jaehyungie - don't ask me why, I think it's a strange choice too, considering how he doesn't really do/like sports in the first place, but the obvious candidate Hyeong Kon just had Dream Team recording the day before, and is probably too tired for it, so it made sense to give the 2nd hyung and 'face' of the group some airtime...?

MBC Gayo Daejaejoon, officially translated as MBC Music Festival, is the largest year end music show this year (lasting for the longest time, spread over 4 locations, with the most teams) and A-JAX was lucky enough to be scheduled for this. I didn't manage to get tickets in the lucky draw but since A-JAX was at the lobby where the only big acts were Beast and FTI-CNBlue, I managed to find tickets eventually, with the help of korean friends on my T-list. So I arrived at 6.30am at Ilsan MBC Dream Center, there was a namelist to get ourselves on (entry is via ticket numbers distributed on a 1st-come-1st-served basis at 10am), and once again I was lucky to meet another A-JAX fansite master I knew to help me send the required MMS (My prepaid SIM card can't send MMS, urgh) so I then hid out at Lotteria until I had to go back for timechecks.... fast-forwarding the story, I got my ticket (No.43) and decided to go into the cafe at the side of MBC lobby to thaw myself out, and not too long after at 10.50am, a remix of 2MYX rang out!

Thought I should do an index post of some sort for those that just want to look at photos and don't want to scroll through or keep clicking 'back' to find some specific even... yeah even I am starting to find it sorta inconvenient as my number of posts increases. ^^; Let me try to think of a way to make it easier... in the meantime here goes the direct links of my photo albums:

I'm sure almost everyone who reads this blog comes from my twitter, and if you're following my twitter you should have seen the attendance stamp event and my tweets about how I've maxed out the event count (except for that one Simply K-pop that I was there for but could not get a stamp due to me being 'staff')... well initially it was 21 stamps = 1 letter from an A-JAX member, top collector gets another special gift, the max was 16 (so I had 15) as in the end they didn't have so many broadcasts - well DSP stupidly only gave us a stamp a day no matter if we also had post-recording for the next week or double-recordings for 2 episodes worth, I know some groups get a stamp EACH for pre-recording and actual recording both on the same day... -  but it changed, and the new system was that from all those with more than 10 stamps collected, they would select a few for 'something special' - we had absolutely no idea what that entailed, and I was under the impression that the DSP fan manager hate us foreigners' collective guts so there is no way I would get selected, so imagine my shock when I received a call on Christmas Eve (coincidentally, when I was out posting signed A-JAX 2MYX CDs to my Japanese friends) from the fan/marketing manager to tell me to turn up at Nonhyeon dal.komm coffee at 6pm on Boxing Day because I was selected....  *stunned* I know about 8-10 of us got 14 stamps (because that was the number of us that got called up to get polaroids of the members), so there are definitely more than that number with >=10 stamps, I figured if I was called up, then it should be an enmasse event of 15-20 fans....? Which was good enough, the previous dal.komm event got pretty chaotic and I never even got a sip of coffee, much less talk to the members, so I genuinely thought they were just gonna make coffee for us once again...
