This is my 2nd time at an ISAC, and coincidentally it's also the 2nd time A-JAX is involved in one. And "luckily" enough, even though it's only 1 member participating this time round, it happens to be my Jaehyungie - don't ask me why, I think it's a strange choice too, considering how he doesn't really do/like sports in the first place, but the obvious candidate Hyeong Kon just had Dream Team recording the day before, and is probably too tired for it, so it made sense to give the 2nd hyung and 'face' of the group some airtime...?

Anyway, yes, A-Lights were given 40 seats, and being a little paranoid over I can get there in time at 7am for the time check, I simply stayed overnight in a nearby Gamjjatang restaurant - after taking a photo at the designated venue and asking my friend to help send it at 6am, the night before. Unfortunately she forgot and sent it at 6.20am after I popped a message to her to greet her good morning, so... I was #18 in the A-JAX line... and they had only 16 seats on the 2nd floor, everyone after that had to go up to the 3rd floor to sit with the Kamilias and the remaining Rainbow fans. Hence my pictures of the opening were shot - too far - and even when Jaehyung walked by on the opening round to greet us, he was still TEENY on my monitor... T_T I could barely even tell if he was looking at the 2nd floor or 3rd floor... and the members were seated in the audience stands 3 blocks away on the 2nd floor too... T_T Jaehyung as usual did fanservice, waving and shooting and tossing a few hearts out, but I doubted he saw my face, and he probably didn't have time to read my tweet to him regarding how I'm on the 3rd floor front row and in red...?

Backtracking a bit, it was -6 cold (by my estimate), we had a hard time hunting down the gathering spot for A-JAX because it was changed last minute from Gate 10 to main gate to INSIDE the stadium, but we were led out eventually and had to stayed in line from 7.15am-8.40am or so.... got in after that, took till 9pm to arrange and settle us down, and the actual recording started at 1030am... (of course, there was the whole red carpet photo op which we didn't get to watch so that means they came in at 7+am with hair and basic makeup done... what time did they have to wake up? 4am? ><'' )

Anyway the opening started, I noticed Minho (SHINee) and EXO members in the 1st team, mint green, which was standing nearest to us, but still kinda far since I was on the 3rd floor, and I kinda tried to figure out if Minho was there but could not see clearly enough to tell so gave up, esp when Team F walked out and they announced "Teen Top... 100%... KARA...Rainbow.... and A-JAX!" Team F was in nice sky blue sports suits - my favourite color for the tracksuits that day, definitely, together with mint. Haha. Actually during the opening I tried to grab a couple of photos, of A-JAX members Hyeong Kon, Sungmin, Yunyoung, Seungjin who were sitting on the 2nd floor about 3 blocks away from us, and esp. when the participants walked by to greet us, and I made sure to look out and make sure that our fan managers (they were mostly on 2nd floor) or the guards are not around, but what I didn't account for was that KARA fanstaff are around... I don't know their faces, but since they are with DSP too they are watching over the A-Lights for photography, so I got caught, twice, both by different people, once photos deleted (JH walking by greeting us... shoot!), and warned that if caught again I would be sent out... T_T So I had to stop.



The first event after opening was women's archery, which started at noon... A-LIGHT seats were facing the back of the archers, the target board was too far to see where the arrows landed, and more importantly the awaiting artistes were all seated DAMN FAR from our seats too...I couldn't even tell which of the blue-suited figure was my boy. I asked the DSP staff if Jaehyung was participating in this event, she said no, he's in high jump (!! O_o *spazzing at the thought of Jaehyung flying gracefully over the bar*). But that meant a long way off to go.... so halfway through the archery event, I started dozing off (I had been awake since 10am the day before, did not have a wink of sleep in the restaurant, and only 4 hours of sleep before that), even when Kamilias right beside and behind us were whooping for KARA members... sorry. T_T I only woke up when DSP staff started handing out company-sponsored lunch cups... seaweed+minced meat rice cups+drinks... small but yummy! ^^ Surprised that the company arranged this... so after eating and feeling more energetic, I decided to try to go elsewhere as it was apparent that there's no way I can get Jaehyung's photos sitting stationary where I am then. Luckily, DSP did not limit the toilet breaks or make us remain in our seats, so I pretty much started being a 'migratory bird' at this point, flitting around the stadium for the next... 15 hours (2pm-5am) after Jaehyung as he moved around for different events. Oh gods it was tiring - hunting for seats, running down to the glass to get photos when he's close enough to call out to, furtively checking around for guards before I whipped out my camera then hiding it again... I already had my down jacket off at my seat, eventually I ended up taking off my red woolen coat, and even in just 2 T-shirts and a blouse + a light leather jacket I was perspiring. T_T (A bit off-topic, but now you see why we photographers HATE it when people steal our photos without crediting.... come suffer to get the photographs yourselves and we'll see how you like it if someone else uses them w/o crediting instead!)

Anyway, now that I am closer, I can see that Jaehyung had got up and moved next to VIXX Hongbin and... someone from SPEED to chat. Over the course of the day I also noticed him chatting with L.Joe from Teen Top, and  ... but other than fellow DSP members Rainbow, that was about it... my boy is surprisingly not that much of a socialiser. Or he was just too tired... ><''

Anyway, at about 3.30pm, he got up, slapped a big no. 5 sticker onto his thigh, and participated in the heats for 70m sprint. I didn't expect it so was quite surprised and had to scramble to get into place to shoot - I was on the opposite side, pretty far, so my photos were pretty bad... T_T But it was still nice to see him all 'sporty', for once. Even though I knew he's not that much of a runner... haha. I think he was... 2nd/3rd last? ^^;; And while waiting, the gun was fired for the previous batch, Jaehyung literally jumped, turned to stare and took a couple of steps further away from the starter guy... Hahaha...

More sitting around, until at 4.30pm, when it was time for hurdles - imagine my surprise when he got up again and went to the preparation line! O_o This time round, I ran to where the A-Lights were, right above the starting line, and thank god the fan managers weren't there right then, so I got to talk/wish him good luck, before he started, then grab some photos... though it was mostly diagonally back view. ^^;;
           

Right before starting, they interviewed him again, and I didn't really catch what the MC said - something about him preparing for the match with special shoes - and Jaehyung was obviously thrown off and thinking "er... this is standard issue, for all the participating idols..."... but he HAD to say something, so he said he wore it prettily (!? wad the... lame... *giggles*) then the MC questioned him somemore and he said "Oh, actually the company asked me to not do it but..." then he went ahead and did MONKEY YELPS (yes, ala-FT Island Choi Seunghyun), and I nearly broke down laughing too hard to continue video-ing... yup I turned to video mode when I saw that he was gonna get interviewed too. Oh god.... *gasps for breath* Even he himself collapsed for a bit after that because Simon (Dalmation) beside him was still squatting on the floor laughing too hard to get up... 



Anyway when the match finally started, I think he was 2nd last also for hurdles - he obviously got left behind, but I enjoyed watching him run forward, sorta slow down near the hurdle, hop over it, take a few steps, then sorta bop/hop over the next one also... it was really adorable... he's obviously NOT used to hurdles and kinda worried he won't clear them... hell, I give him kudos for even doing it, I definitely would not dare to... >.> (I'll rather flip over the hurdles then leap over them... ) He's also kinda short next to Hanbyul who was in striking yellow next to him (usually I would have called out a greeting but with Jaehyung right beside him I dared not...^^;;)

Anyway, since he finished, he left to sit down among the watching artistes - pretty far so I just took some shoot of his lounging pose - man that boy sits like he's in a photoshoot - and I realised he watches the A-Light stands a lot - everytime I turned the camera away from him to shoot SHINee Minho (well I am an ex-Shawol and there he was only 2m away from me! My first time taking photos of him with a DSLR...) or VIXX (who was at the audience stands), I come back to find him glancing in my direction... *sweats*

Then after that was mens' archery, which was another long boring episode that nearly put me to sleep... and almost Jaehyung too. I was seated at VIXX for the first half, then the C-Clown section... Jaehyung disappeared for some intervals (took a LONG toilet break I guess?) and came back with drinks in hand... I realise he drinks lots of fluids - secret to his good complexion? Hehe. When it was Teen Top's turn, he also cheered some, I noticed the 100% chap in their team grinning at him though they didn't really seem to talk... Jaehyung spoke with Yunhye and Jaekyung(Rainbow) some, I'm not sure who else... I think someone in red/orange... SPEED again? They were near the back, leaning against the wall, chilling and watching as FT Island+CNBlue practised speed-walking (in my books, the butt-swaying event) in front of them...

At 940pm, FINALLY, they moved the high-jump mats out! I got to see Jaehyung high jumping 3 times in total - 1 practice/trial, 1st successful clearance, 2nd failed attempt... they gave everyone 1 single attempt at the earlier stages, one fail and you're out, until past 1.8m I think. Before starting, he came by to A-Light are to say hi after a break - I returned to my seat during the break itself, therefore managed to yell "화이팅! 날아주세요!"(Please fly!) at him - he squinted, I flapped my hands like a chicken at him, he went "Ah!" smiled, and nodded. To be honest, having been told that he doesn't really like any sports before, I wasn't holding out much hope, esp. because Teen Top Ricky and Neil and SHINee Minho are aces at this event (I didn't realise Minho had disappeared - after his fall at the hurdles event earlier he left to go see a doctor.) I was grateful that he cleared the first stage at least, and well, he still looked pretty knocking down the pole - in fact for that jump I got a photo of him with his shirt riding HIGH up and exposing his entire stomach and back... too bad it was entirely blurred. ^^;; All I can tell is that he's VERY VERY fair-skinned. And he was wearing underwear with black waistband under it....*gets bricked*  Haha. By the way during practice he did the back-sail jump, during the actual competition he did front-somersault jumps... (Not sure which is more effective, I've never high jumped in my life - during my middle school's track and field selections I chickened out after sprinting up to the pole and never managed to go through with it. Silly, right? ^^;;)  

Anyway, after that was over, the next 4-5 hours consisted pretty much of the same - random waiting, moving around to shoot Jaehyung whenever I got the chance to, me playing hide-and-seek with the guards... there was a time where I went back to the A-Light seats, on their left were A-Pink seats and the idols who aren't participating but were there just to support their bandmates were right beside them, so I sat there for a little while, and Hyeong Kon, Seungjin and Sungmin passed by and we waved and grinned at them (the guard forbidded us to talk to them - in fact we weren't even supposed to smile/wave, but I pulled the 'stupid foreigner' card on him...)

I also spent some time at VIXX seats because I have a few friends there... and they had absolutely A-class seats right above the waiting contestants. ><'' I had to be extra careful to not get caught shooting there as I didn't wanna get the VIXX fanseats into trouble, I like the group myself - so everytime Jaehyung came close, I bolted out of the seats, down the steps to the glass (to distance myself from the VIXX fans) to grab a few shots.... once when Jaehyung was close by, the guard was kinda looking in my direction so I didn't dare to shoot, I just called out to him - Jaehyung turned around, kinda surprised to see me there, and waved. I apologised to him for not being able to shoot much today as the guards were strict and would throw us out if we're caught - he nodded and indicated for me to go back to the A-Light stands... sorry I didn't obey, my zoom lens aren't that good I won't get a single photo of you if I did go back and I'm going to get kicked out for trying there too anyway.... at least moving around my chances of being caught by a single guard repeatedly is lessened.

It was mostly during this period of time that I got my few best shots of the day...  pretty much everywhere else the lighting was too dark, plus I was stupid enough to mis-set my ISO as 800 for the whole day - forgot to check and reset after lowering it down for Dream Team the day before.


뽀뽀 that he promised for our turning up? Haha actually I have no idea, was he trying to say something? It's my turn to do the "I don't get it" pose... if not for the camera in my hands.

After the closing ceremony, dazed and sleepy, he almost headed right back into the backstage door, but dspboyz_v called out to him and he came over - jaehyung.com (finally I know who they are! 3 of them...) was speaking to him, he threw some chocolates up to them, V also spoke some, me being so bad at korean, said nothing other than "Please rest well~ you've worked hard today!', and concentrated on taking photos... which turned out quite un-useable in the end due to the lack of lighting at our side. *sobs* Sorry about the lousy PS, just wanted to show you folks more of him...
